Ezy Pro New User Interface FAQ sheet

PRO's New UI Fact sheet

ℹ️ Users must have .net Framework 4.8 installed.

This is preinstalled on Windows 10 and Windows Server 2022 or newer, but clients running Windows Server 2019 or older will need their IT team to ensure .net Framework 4.8 is installed.

Note that Windows 7, Windows Server 2019, and older OS are end of life and no longer officially supported by Microsoft or Ezy Systems.

The new Ezy Pro user interface is on its way.

Shaped by customer feedback, it includes larger fonts and expanded screen layouts to make day-to-day use easier.

What's changing and why

Q. What is actually changing in Ezy Pro?

A. Only the look and feel. The screens have been redesigned with cleaner layouts, better readability, and a more modern appearance. The data, logic, and core workflows underneath are the same system you have used for years.

Q. Why is Ezy Systems doing this now?

A. The Ezy Pro interface has not had a visual refresh in many years. The update brings the look in line with modern business software, makes screens easier on the eyes for staff using them all day, and makes it simpler to onboard new staff who expect a contemporary interface.

Q. Is this a new product or an upgrade?

A. It is an upgrade to your existing Ezy Pro system. You are not moving to a new product. Your version, license, and data stay exactly where they are.

Q. When does this go live?

A. The update is scheduled to arrive via the overnight Load Latest Changes (LLC) on or around 15 June 2026. Most sites will see the new UI when they log in the following morning.

Q. Will the system be down during the update?

A. No additional downtime is required. The UI update is delivered as part of your standard Load Latest Changes (LLC) process, which runs automatically overnight for most sites. When you log in the morning after the LLC, the new UI will be in place. If your site does not have a scheduled overnight LLC, Admin users can run manually from the System Administration Menu.

Q. Do I need to do anything to receive the update?

A. Yes, ensure you are running windows 10 or later and ensure all users log out at the end of the workday to ensure your overnight LLC runs as normal, the update arrives automatically.

Q. Will my custom fields, reports, and configurations still work?

A. Yes. All custom fields, saved reports, user permissions, and configurations carry across. The update does not touch any of these settings.

Q. Will my day-to-day workflow change?

A. The core workflow is the same. There are minor workflow adjustments in some screens where the redesign has improved how an action is reached or laid out, but no transactions, processes, or report runs change.

Q. Will keyboard shortcuts and Ezy Pro navigation still work?

A. Existing shortcuts and navigation patterns continue to work. Where new shortcuts have been added for the modern UI, the old ones remain available.

Q. Where do I find the screens and functions I use most?

A. Most screens are in the same place in the menu structure. Where a screen has moved or been renamed for clarity, it is documented in the Ezy Pro New UI Navigation Guide attached to this update pack.

Q. Will the report layouts change?

A. No. Your saved reports, exports, and printed report formats are unchanged.

Q. Do my staff need to be retrained?

A. Formal retraining is not required. Because the underlying system has not changed, staff will recognise everything they use. Most users find the new layout intuitive within the first day or two of use.

Q. What materials will you provide to help staff adjust?

A. This link - Ezy Pro New UI Navigation Guide shows navigation, an FAQ document (this one), and support is available throughout the transition.

Q. What if I have internal SOPs or training docs that show the old screens?

A. Your existing SOPs remain accurate for the actions and data they describe. Where screenshots show the old UI, the steps still apply, only the visual presentation differs.

Q. What about staff currently being trained on the old UI?

A. If you are mid-way through onboarding new staff, talk to our support team. We can help you with any questions after the transition.

Q. Can I roll back to the old UI after go-live?

A. No. The UI update replaces the existing interface for all users at once. There is no parallel old version to switch back to. The new UI becomes the standard from 15 June 2026.

Q. Why is there no rollback option?

A. This is a visual layer update applied directly to your existing Ezy Pro system, not a separate product running alongside the old one. Because nothing under the hood changes, your data, processes, customisations, and reports continue to work without interruption — but the visual layer itself is replaced in a single step rather than maintained in two parallel versions.

Q. What if my team strongly prefers the old UI?

A. We understand familiarity matters, especially for teams who have been using Ezy Pro for many years. The new interface is designed to look fresher and enhance screen size while keeping the same workflows and information in the same places. Most teams adjust within the first one to two weeks of use. We strongly recommend giving the new UI two to three weeks of normal use before assessing — most early discomfort settles quickly once muscle memory catches up.
